Default Front end Question

Hello.
I have a 1999 Softail Springer and a 2018 Iron Sportster. I want to know if i could switch the forks between the two bikes. Keeping the wheels, tires and brakes with the original bike. Does anyone know if this would work?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, Springer wheel and brake would have to stay with the Springer front end. The key question that I can't answer is whether the front ends are compatible with the frames when it comes to steering stems. I know I've seen Sportsters with Springer front ends, but can't say for sure a stock HD one will fit.
