the one i have now is a full face and at certain speeds it sounds like a freight train but not always so i think wind direction has a part.
the BEST helmet i ever owned was an air force aviator's helmet, looked like a mosquito hawk on two wheels but it was quite and comfortable, wore the lining out. it was tough, could bounce it like a basket ball.
