So I’m putting back my 1984 fxr (early) and I’m wondering if this barb could be blocked off.
basically the oil feed line was tee’d and a smaller hose that ran from the oil feed into the yellow circled as pictured. Could I just block it off diagrams don’t really show this and it doesn’t look like an oil chain feed
Top fitting is tank vent. The inner smaller fitting is return to tank. Larger fitting is the feed. Since there is no chain oiler, that small brass fitting should be the crankcase vent. It vents to atmosphere, or run a hose exiting over the chain. Fire it up before ya block it off!!!!! Ya should have crankcase air pressure coming outta it.
