Yeah, you are right. I was completely wrong, of course the gears have the same angular speed regardless of the size, and each tooth is engaged the same number of times.

I don't know what to blame for this plunge into the lake of stupidity, but at least I ended up with some new insight so all is well in the end. Thanks for the enlightenment
