Here is my setup. I used the foam filters from the original multi piece breather systems to force any oil mist to drop out before the air vents back to the head. My original setup had the tubes to the intake blocked off (siliconed the passages in the Heavy Breather) and the engine venting out an open breather not the added catch can is has now, but it resulted in a lot of stinky air - especially at idle. With this setup below, the breather air gets sucked back in, but the oil does not (or it's minimal and far better than crankcase air venting on my leg). I just went and took a pic to show the two holes - ignore the pollen - everything is covered in it here. I will post the stinky setup below that I abandoned for this. You are overthinking it with a check valve as there is already one in the heads as part of the breather system.

Here is the stinky seutp. In this scenario, the Heavy Breather ports were sealed and it vented the air 100% through the open breather. But the crankcase air is not always pleasant to smell - especially on an August day at idle or when riding all day and it's just blowing on you without you realizing - then you go inside and stink of breather air lol. Road Glides have a low pressure area behind the windshield and I believe that with the lowers on the air can be drawn and circulate around the rider much easier than something like a Dyna or Softail who may notice it a lot less. But even without the lowers, on hot days that air puffing out the breather was not pleasant to smell. YMMV
