Default Drag Specialities

Hi All, many thanks for Birthday wishes from moderators. I have to inform all interested in purchasing new replacement parts via eBay, Temu or similar. February I bought FLHRCi via a dealer here in Bulgaria (Sofia). The machine salvage from Ohio and in very poor condition as shown in pictures. During the period of before collection I purchased/ordered front fender from Bike-Inside (eBay) plus seat, levers, running lamps and grips via Temu non fitted had to be adapted or binned. The Fender, Drag Specialities was wrapped and packed well, however after removing the greased plastic bag and cleaned for preparation I noticed plainly poor quality and downright lack of quality control. One huge dent on the top, plus rust, deep scratch marks from the pressing out. I contacted Bike-Inside (Italy) and they stated my fault for not checking when courier delivered and the dent was made by me? The delivery was well overdue and Bike-Inside accepted no responsibility, their response was I am not by law allowed to prepare/paint and the Fender has to be taken to body shop for paint? Can I ask please if any of you have bought Drag Specialities parts in particular Fender's as I am interest in seeing quality or lack of. I have since panel beaten the dents out but after careful and time consuming linishing/flatting cannot remove all scratches so heavy stopper used but some still visible. My FXSB sold due to my age and comfort was not possible anymore. Well happy to be back in the saddle on my bagger...

I have bought non painted parts. Some people think some of their products are same name brand just without label. I ordered stator and got one from cycle electric. Good brand.

Some is just Chinese stuff but ok. Never ordered body parts

I've never purchased an aftermarket fender, DS or other brands. But have heard many stories about poor fit out of the box and many hours to make it fit decently. So I try to straighten the original metal, of find a good used one to work with,

when you buy unfinshed, raw parts from ANY supplier, they are all going to require body work,,,at the very least a skim coat and sanding before prime and paint, This the norm and has been for many years.
