Unhappy Deka batteries

I found a good price for a Deka ETX16L battery. The seller's website in Florida states that it does not fit either a 2006 Heritage Classic or a 2000 Harley Springer. I have used Deka batteries in the past and this battery appears to be the appropriate size. Why would it not fit?

We can only guess, since we don`t know the model and year bike.

It could be the wrong size, the wrong battery post configuration, or both...

The years and models are in my post. 2006 Harley Heritage Classic and a 2000 Harley Springer. The negative and positive posts are in the correct locations.

And even after the question has been answered, he'll go on and on......and on......and on.......just like the Energizer Bunny, but in a very annoying way!

You are correct. I just found the East Penn website and looked at their product lists. It lists the Deka ETX16L as being 4 inches wide, while the ETX20 is 3 and 7/16 inches wide. They list the ETX20 as being a fit for a 2006 Harley Classic and a 2000 Harley Springer. Thanks all.

Yes, just use a bigger hammer. Just kidding. Glad to hear you find the correct battery for your ride.
