I have a first generation harbor freight motorcycle lift and looking at decent quality rolling stools that can hold my fat butt up(285 pounds) and has the right height, whatever that measurements out.... any suggestions?
Something like this? Is it comfortable for sitting in it for a while? Height good for the HF lift? Rolls around ok on smooth surfaces?
I have that exact one. I use it with my HMC air lift table but it’s more or less the same as your harbor freight lift. It rolls really nice on my garage floor. It’s height adjustable too. I use it as a shop chair sometimes just hanging out. I’d recommend trying one out at harbor freight if they have one on the floor to sit on.

Unfortunately, they have all the stools on the shelf....zip tied up.... 😑
I too am a big guy, and this one has worked well. From Amazon. About $140
Traxion 2-230 Monster Rolling Padded Mechanic Stool Seat Garage Shop Roller Work Chair with Wheels and Tool Tray, Heavy-Duty 400-lb Capacity, All-Terrain 5" Casters, Black Red
I had the Harbor Freight stool. I ended up selling it. It worked OK for rolling around the bike when it was parked on the floor, but I found the maximum seat height (21-1/2") to be too low when the bike is up on the HF lift.
I opted for this stool in bench height, adjustable seat height from 20.5" to 28".
Obviously, it doesn't have a backrest or tool tray. I would suggest experimenting with different seat heights to determine what best suits your needs. We're all built differently (physical characteristics). What works for some,
may not necessarily work for you.
