Just added an electric pump to my fuel caddy that I use for refueling the motorcycles. Prior to this, I was using a hand pump, now I added a 12V gasoline approved pump. The problem is, the pump comes with threads that are not 3/4 inch pipe. I believe it to be M25 threads, according to the cap that was on the pump and motor. It appears that the 3/4 inch pipe will screw into the M25 threads, but it never really tightens down. What I'm looking for is the dimensions of the M25 to be sure that's what I'm dealing with. There are adapters available for M25 to 3/4 inch pipe. Can anybody shed some light on the dimensions of the M25 male fitting such as the diameter? The manual and customer support offers no information.
The anodized fitting is provided and believed to be an M25. The silver fitting is 3/4 inch pipe. Provided plastic cap in the pump versus 3/4 inch pipe. 3/4 inch pipe screwed into the pump. The hose fitting bottoms out before it tightens.
I think you might be onto something there! I had never heard of NPS, but checking on the web, it seems to be that's what I have. I would have figured being a Chinese product that is probably metric, but maybe not. Now the task would be to how do I tighten it? Or where do I get an adapter?
I certainly do miss Menards! None of those south of Nashville, TN. I'll check the websites, but I can find the adapters, but it's reversed. The NPS is on the wrong end.😒
Wow, this is exactly why I post questions to this forum. I reluctantly admit there are people who are smarter than I am. This is exactly the fitting that I'm looking for. I do need a female 3/4 pipe, but they do have that one also. I've ordered it, and I'll report back here Next week, when the fitting arrives. In the meantime, thank you guys again.
