Default Search Function

Can anyone offer advise on how to better utilize the forum search function? When I enter a simple item (wheel bearings) or any other part, item, adjustment, etc., I get a bunch of threads to scroll through which is a huge waste of time and frustrating.

I know there a many knowledgeable folks here chiming in but how do you zero down in on relevant info?

I would Google this:

wheel bearings site:www.hdforums.com

You can try more specific search terms, but you’ll get fewer results.

I’ve yet to find a forum that has a decent search function. Follow @GalvTexGuy ’s suggestion. It works.

Thanks, y'all. The search is tedious from the forum but I have used Google to end up back here so good tip, for sure!

The problem with a search on the forum is also due to the titles of threads, people will start a thread with a title that is useless in a search.

I agree there lots of titles that have nothing to do with thread and because of that people don't even open

I use Google and ad forum, you can then click to see forum results
