Default Hogworkz 4 point docking system

My Harley service dept. installed a Hogworkz 4 point detachable Tour pak kit on my 2014 Ultra Limited FLHTK and am pleased with the quality but the fit is too tight! I was told that HD 4 point docking systems are adjustable but Hogworkz isn't. Did anyone have this problem and how can I fix this... I am hesitant to start grinding to make it easier to take the tour pak on & off.......Please help!

Try loosening the hardware a bit, fit the tour pak on, then tighten everything back up while it’s lined up.

Thank you so much for your response. This makes sense because I don't know the assembly process that was used for the installation. Possible that it is a misalignment issue.

I'm have the same issue with the 4-point docking hardware that came on my new to me 2022 SGS that also had a Hogworkz tour pack mounted to it, (that I don't need). I wonder if the PO bought that 4-point from HW as well at the same time and that my issue? Is there any identifying marks that would differentiate between the two, HW and OEM?

I gave the unopened Hogworkz Tourpak kit to the service dept at HD. As they were already doing a full service, new tires, & inspection. He was a bit miffed that I didn't order the parts through the dealership. He said it was like buying a steak from a supermarket & then going to a high class restaurant & expecting them to cook & serve it to me.....I don't have any of the paperwork that came with the Kit or if it would matter. I didn't even try to remove my tourpak yet just got my bike back the day before yesterday. The serviceman had a rubber mallet in his hand to demonstrate how tight the docking system was......lol. He suggested that I bring it back in a few weeks & he would grind it a little to make it fit better........I am wise to turn to HD Forums....been a while since I was on this site!!!
