Never saw any yellow metal in a 6 speed primary, and the five speed primary only had yellow metal in the starter jackshaft bushing.
But unless a gear lube manufacturer specifically says it is ok for a Harley primary (as Harley gear lube is), there`s no reason to use it.
I don`t think there is a need for a GL-5 rated gear lube on a Harley of any type or year.
