Hi, first post here. I recently picked up an 01 Softail Standard. Couldn't pass on it. Previous owner had already did everything that I would have did except for 2 things: Jockey Shift and no dash kit/speedo. I kind of liked the jockey shift, BUT with no front brake, it was too nerve wracking.Looked really clean though with no hand controls and the internal throttle. No speedo was not a big deal either......until your riding solo........with a cop behind you, lol. So now I'm looking for an aftermarket speedo. All harnesses and connectors are still intact, so I was thinking about a sportster speedo mounted on the riser. Was kind of wanting to be able to plug it right in. Otherwise, I was leaning towards the Diamond Digital or maybe even the GPS Speedo. Oh, the stock hole in the tank was filled in and painted, so it'd need tobe h-bar or riser mounted. Ideas are welcomed. Thanks.[/align]
I always use a dakota digital, either in a cop on the bars, or you can even mount them on the rocker box, they work great, I bet I have sold or used over 300 of them.
think the website is www.dakotadigtal.com Let me know if I can help, cool scoot by the way.
