Default 1000 Service expectations

Well...after picking her up on Feb 3rd with 4 miles, I am at 910 miles and will be at my 1,000 mile service point this weekend. What should I expect for the 1000 mile service / check up? What are some of the "Common", if any, things found or replaced?

Fluids will be changed, oil filter, air filter unless its k-n type then its cleaned. There gonna tell you they went over a comprehensive check list making adjustments and torqing this and that. All to make you feel better about parting with your $300.00.....and a wash

Whats commonly replaced would be the money in your wallet with air. Basically its a high dollar oil change, which also includes trans, and primary. If you have spoke wheels they will need tightened. You might have your sparkplugs replaced for no good reason except to charge you for new ones. Thats really about it.

C'mon SinceCrazy- they even throw in free air for the tires and your wallet! What he said is pretty much on the (lack of) money!

Oops, I forgot the most important part. Setting tire pressure, and if you really want to splurge, you can have the air changed to synthetic air. It increases ride comfort, handling, and fuel consumption.[sm=happy046.gif]

And for cruisers, they put a little high dollar air in the back shocks...is that the synthetic stuff?

I had to pay 100 dollers extra for the screaming eagle air for both tires.

Was that worth it?
