Default Headlemap Vibration

Hey Guys ....New to the forum. Just bought 05 Deuce with 2K Miles. Sweet bike but I notice the Headlamp is very loose and vibrates while just sitting and Idle. Appears that the mounting to the fork is solid and the looseness is coming from inside the lamp housing. Is there anyway to tighten ??/ Thanks

Take the headlamp apart and check it out. Maybe broken, if not tighten or fix with glue if possible. Not sure, but have seen the internal reflector that is behind the bulb become loose, it could be that vibrating.

Thanks for the advice.......But the vibration/movement is not on the inside. The entire lamp housing is loose. But it is tight where the lamp housing bracket attaches to the fork. Anymore suggestions ?

Thanks

If it's like my fxstc, they use 3 rubber bushings to mount the shell onto the base. Short of replacing them with solids they will move quite a bit. Annouying as hell at night to ride with.

The headlamp vibration on my companions FXSTC seems excessive to me; however, the dealer swears it is not and thateverything is tightened as it should be. (Theservice dept. did not do anything more than turn on thebike and look at the lamp.) Watching him ridefrom my truck rearview mirror, his light seems to buffet in every direction and evenblacks out for a split second about every three seconds. I haven't noticed any other bike headlamps vibrating at all. This seems like a safety issue to me, especially riding at night on unlighted roads--it only takes that split second not to see a deer or a person. I'm wondering if it is a design flaw, or if the dealer doesn't want to honor the warranty. Any thoughts you have on this will be appreciated. Sharon
