'05 Used bike sitting- is this a problem?
Hi,
My sis is considering a purchase of a 2005 HD 883XL Low (a hugger). It has only 450 miles. It has been garage kept. $5000 (possibly $4500).
Should she be concerned about the bike sitting so long?
Someone suggested that the gaskets may blow.
I wanted to come to the experts for help.
Any advice you can offer is deeply appreciated.

It may have some crud in the carburator, but that should be about it. I've had customers leave bikes in storage for years and not develop any problems at all if the bike stayed dry, if this bike was outside or in a shed the salt air can cause pitting on the wheels and the engine surfaces, just look it over good.
