Default Air Brushing starting requirements

I want to try my hand at airbrushing.

Aside from the hardware, any recommendations on books/videos that you may have.

Ideally would like to learn from some one in the know, but those are not here were I live!

thnx
Robert

Airbrushing is not painting! It is an art!If you can paint pic's freehand and they look good ,then you can start with a mid-priced airbrush.Don't buy cheap junk! Start with simple grafix and learn to adjust the brush as you go you will learn to mix colors and blend learn on cardboard first!

Be sure to get a dual action airbrush. As far as videos, go to www.smartflix.com. It is a great place to rent videos and there are some great ones on airbrushing. Be patient with your progress. You will start by learning how to do dots, lines and daggers. They are the basis of all airbrushing. You are going to have a great time.

Here is one of my first attempts...

Some art stores offer classes, that could get you on the right track. Practice, Practice,Practice..... it'll come "IF" you have any talent.
