Default Torx Bits

I just picked up some Torx bits from Sears and it seems I dont have the correct size. I have T20, T25, and T30 aren't there bit sizes in between. Putting on the chrome transmission cover I almost stripped a bolt because there wasnt a bit that really fit tight. No way can I torque this to 85 ft/lbs. Will some one educate me here? I never have used these type of bits....maybe i'm doing something wrong.

For some reason some bright light decided to stick T27 in there. [:@] That is likely the one you are looking for. Many sets don't include it as you have found.

The T27 bit is available from Sears but I've only seen it in their motorcycle tool kit.

Here you go. This is a good set for home mechanic work.

Another a little better.

And a pretty set to cover all of your torx needs.

Some of the best prices you will find, too.

I'd suggest replacing the torx bits with good chrome allen head bolts.

85ft lbs,,i dont think so,,that little bolt will start screamin at you and that torx bit will decide to take a long vacation, torx bits have a couple of odd-ball sizes #27-#47 why i dont know..
