When I remove a torx screw, I replace with a SS allen. Looks good enough for me. Some people polish them to make them really look like chrome. Either way, you might want to think about getting rid of the torx all together. They're just a headache waiting to happen.

Phillips.......Allen........Torx.......was there an idiot named Torx????

Probably 85 inch pounds, which is like 85/12 = 7 ft lbs. Agree, don't really need a torque wrench to put those one.

Yeah, that can be a bigger problem than using torx.

ORIGINAL: Warpig

I just picked up some Torx bits from Sears
I picked up all new SnapOn torx and allen last year when I bought the 06. Watched eBay, and you can really get the price right.

Pay attention though, some of the chinese stuff they try to trick you by juggling the words snap and on in their description.

Harley tries to fool you too. On my SG they mix in torx and allen, so my old eyeballs get it cornfused sometimes.

No way can I torque this to 85 ft/lbs.
I added the lower shocks on my scooter, and this is where you get into the higher torque values. This is where you want what SnapOn calls the Heavy-Duty Removal.

The normal SnapOn tool will shatter at that higher torque.

There is an 8 piece set on eBay now at about 30, SnapOn price 190.
