Shovelhead Bob
Ive been having a problem w/ my 2000 fxstb for about 2 years now. It wants to cut out around 65 to 70 MPH Ive done every thing emaginable to try and fix it w/ no good results. The engine is a 114 revolution performance built twin cam w/ S&S super G. the engine before it was a 95 " screamin eagle set up w/ a Muluni 42mm. both used the same thunderheader. BOTH ENGINES HAD/ HAVE THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM
Now when I say cuts out the thing just falls off suddenly then comes back some times once and other times several times in a row like Im loosing spark. I have changed modules from a screamin eagle programable to a Head Quarters programable by Twin tec I have changed coils, crank sensor, map sensor and even went to the extrem of rewiring the entire Ignition circut per my very handy Harley shop manual w/ all curent updates. Four different techs have tried to address this problem and said that they would have done exactly what I did in the same order since the bike was dyno tuned in there shop and runs fine on the dyno they all think its electrical but Ive pretty much ruled that out now.
Saturday I went into the shop and spent 6 hrs w/ these guys brainstorming, riding and dynoing the bike and when I was in the dyno room the bike ran flawlessly except after about 5 min it wouldnt idle worth a crap and gass was pouring out of the air cleaner. took the bike outside and it idles fine and runs great except for the fact that it is very frustrating that I cant ride down the Hwy with out bucking and snorting like crazy.
I NEED A NEW OUTLOOK ON THIS PLEASE

I'm thinkin since you have the flooding carb issue on the dyno( I assume you ran it hard just previously), it seems like you are flooding the motor when no longer calling for that much fuel.
Like a sticky float/needle. Since each motor had a different carb, you could have crap in your gas tank that is preventing the needle from seating.
