Softail Speedometer

I have a 1999 Heritage Softail Classic needing a new speedometer. The part number is 67027-99A. I see tons of speedo's for sale on Ebay, but most say for 2000 or later softails and have a different part number (usually 67033-99) They look the same and have the same 12 pin connector. Does anyone know why these won't work or if they will. Any information would be appreciated!
