Accent Lights
Hey all, I bought some of the those LED lights that you put around your bike to light it up. I was wondering were people normally place these? I taped some under the tank to see how they would look and im not impressed. They dont seem to light up the engine very much, and im just wondering if im placing them poorly. I also placed two on the underside for ground effect, but am wondering if there are any bad spots to attach them. As in there isnt anything that gets super hot on the underside is there? Thanks all for the help, post some pictures of yours lit up if you have em!
Depending on the manufacturer,they may be inferior to others sold. If you have strong L.e.D's, place them above each rocker box(underside of tank)on both sides. Also,you can put one on the underside of your air cleaner cover,under/backside of your horn cover. Even the underside of your oil tank. Underside of frame(ground effects)....

Thanks. That does look a little better behind the filter and horn. Under the tank still doesnt look all that hot. Going to wait until I get my heavy breather to fully affix them. You just deal with a little wire hanging down from the tank to the filter and the horn?
Well you have to get a little crafty at it. Should come with plug in splitters. You can run the wire along the horn wire and also run the other to the A/C, along the fuel line or(being careful),your Fuel injection wire(s),Idle air control motor if you have F.I. Follow the harness if you can.

The first photo was my first attempt. You can see why i was unimpressed. The second is what I have now. Its not the greatest picture... not really a genius when it comes to cameras. The last one i threw in just cause i added the pipes and heavy breather at the same time. I like it, looks pretty good.
