Anyone here remove their horn (not relocate) If so what did you do with the wires? I dont want to completely get rid of them in case I get "pinched" and have to put the horn back on.
yup, I just want to do it with out having to pull tank or anything - I think I will feed a zip tie up under the tank and then just loop it and stuff the tape end in there and pull - kinda pulling it up out of the way but leaving it easily accessible
I had to ditch that horn and zip off that god ugly braket also!! Havent done anything with the wires yet, zip tie sounds good. Really cleans up the profile.
then bought a sporty disc horn and mounted it inbetween the downtubes. engine profile looks sooooo much better and i still have a usless horn just in case.

Just put some loud pipes on and blip the throttle instead of the horn. Works much better. Usually scare myself whenever I accidentally hit the horn button cause I don't know where the hell the horn noise was coming from.
yeah...i already have samson fishtails on. before the fishys i had short shots. i agree loud pipes are much better. only time i ever used the horn was a mis hit reaching for a turn signal.
...like everything else,im pretty certain that if i ever took it off permantely... the very next ride a random cop would pull me over for not having a horn.haha
Threw mine in the trash 2 years ago when I did the coil relo. Just left the wires where they were, tucked them in behind the bracket I made for the coil. Can't see them at all. Haven't missed it one bit. As far as I'm concerned, someone who thinks the horn might someday be what saves their life, is a poor rider.
i just moved my horn but you can simply wrap the wires and put them under your tank or cut them... both will work... i also shaved my mount here is how i did that
i cut it off and left enough to still tuck a wire behind it... then rounded it on a belt sander
