FXD Front Fender Broke
The front fender on my 2000 Dyna SuperGlide broke about 3 inches below the mounting bracket. Looks like metal fatigue from constant flexing. Anyone else ever have this happen? I'm replacing the fender and am trying to determine what might have caused it so I can prevent happening to the new fender? I would appreciate any input or suggestions.

I will try to get some pictures. I first noticed it 5 or 6 months ago. It satrted as a small crack on one edge, then it cracked on the opposite edge, and gradually progressed across.
And, you are right about "another expense". I was quoted $188.00 for a new fender painted in the Diamond Ice color at a dealer in the mid-cities area of DFW.
I added the H-D chrome fender extension a couple of years ago to cut down on some of the splashing, and am now wondering if that caused some wind drag and extra stress.
