Default GPS Advice

If any genius out there who can help me, I would be the happiest person.. I am new to this forum and recently got a Road King. Well, a few weeks ago while surfing online I stumbled across good online deals on GPS navigators at http://www.dealrocker.com/gps/deals so I picked up a Garmin Nuvi car GPS, but I already have a GPS in my car. So, I am planning to use this GPS on my newly purchased bike. Wondering how many of you using a car GPS on your bike and what are the issues if any?

Thanks in advance for your inputs..

A ton of guys use them on bikes. They are not water proof is the only real issue. Most carry a plastic bag and rubber bands to cover them in the event of rain. Ram mounts has the mounting systems to adapt then to your bike.

Default I carry a GPS in my Bags

I carry a GPS in my bags in case I need to find gas. I typically don't use it for turn by turn directions on the bike.

The car GPS works fine, the weather is one issue, brightness is another and power on the king is another small issue. Some guys use ziplock bags for the weather...

Good luck, welcome to the forums...

Hi, I use Mine all the time. Bought it off ebay for $100 a couple years ago. Never lose My sense of direction running around with it on the bike.
