Default Engine Cleaning

Not sure if this is the correct forum, but...

I recently did some chrome polishing on my Heritage Classic, and got some of the chrome polish on the engine black cases.

Does anyone know of an easy way to get the residue off the engine cases?

Thanks.

The people that make the bike soap HD sells, T-100, F-100, something like that, make a cleaner specific to engine cases.

WD-40 and a soft toothbrush. will take it off...The best way to avoid it in the future is to throw the chrome polish in the trash. Clean chrome doesn't get any more shiny from rubbing on it like brass or aluminum does. All it needs is to be kept clean. Glass cleaner works great.

Agree with OldBiker771; i use that S100 in the aerosol can from the Harley dealer too -works great. You can get microfiber towels from Harbor freight or the .99 store, and they work great.
