Default Speedo/tach combo question

I hate not having a tach.

Instead of an add-on, I'm looking at the HD combination speedo/tach that drops into the current speedometer hole. (HD part # 74676-09).

My question is do you retain the current features: two trip meters; odo.;clock, low fuel miles to empty and "idiot lights" for 6th gear, low fuel, fuel injectors, check engine, oil temp?

I've asked two dealerships and they scratched their heads and I called HD customer service and was told they don't know b/c they outsource them but they wouldn't let me call their vendor and ask them. What a laugh.

Ok, here's what you do: call the people at Kuryakn or Arlen Ness and tell them what you want; i guarantee they will give you what you are looking for.

oh yeah. unless you don't care about what mileage is on your bike, I suggest buying new. I purchased one used from eBay a couple of years ago for something like $200, tested it to make sure it worked, then called several local dealers only to find out they refused to send it off to have it calibrated and set with my mileage.

Tach is a must have.....motors would sure last longer...considering the lug...they always get, instead of 3000rpm purr..
