Default Helmet Lock-should I have used threadlock?

Bought a HD Helmet lock for my 03 FLHTCUI and mounted it on top of the left engine guard. It didn't come with any directions so I just took the longer set of screws that came with it and screwed them in tight. They are one way security screws. After I got them in, it occurred to me that I probably should have used blue threadlock, which I don't carry with me. Should I have used threadlock? If they were regular screws I would take them out, and threadlock, but since they are 1 way screws, I think I'll just check em every so often.

I wouldn't bother, if a scumbag is going to steal your helmet, they will just cut the strap.

Talking Well.......

.......if you should have put thread locker on them, when the screws back out by themselves, you can put the thread locker on them before you retighten them.
If they don't back out by themselves, you didn't need it.

I think he's right. Just check em every couple weeks or so and if they loosen up then put it on but If they dont loosen up within a few months I doubt it will ever move and you can probably forget about it.
