Default I know they are not true baggers,but...

I know they are not true baggers, but it works for me. Looking at quick detachable set up for my saddlebags.
Question for Deuce owners. Has anyone purchased an Easy Bracket set up for the "LEATHER" SADDLEBAGS?
My question is can they bolt directly on the bags , or do you "HAVE" to drill holes to mount them?

Any input would help.

Thanks

4 holes each bag. You will have to drill to get them set how you want.
No biggie. In fact, they tell you if you make a mistake, use some black RTV to seal the holes up watertight.
I saw one repaired like this and you could only tell when you were looking for it.

Oh, hey if you go with easy brackets, be sure to do it the hard way and put the nuts on the bracket side, not in the bags as the instructions show.
Its nice not having the bolt ends snagging on your stuff.

I found it difficult toget to the nuts with a wrench on the top holes putting the bolts in from the inside. I cut off the excess threads flush with the nut with a dremel tool, so no snagging. I would recommend reinforcing the inside of a leather bag with some rigid thin plastic if the bag is leather only. The Saddlemen bags I used have a rigid inner side. Hard to beat the Easybracket though.

My bags have a ridgid liner (hard plastic) where they will mount to the brackets

Wrap the nut with masking tape and it locks right into the socket.
For the lock side, I took the lock off, took all of about 1 minute to take it off but 20min and some cursing to get to that decision.
