Default Hardbag mounting to a softail - questions

I am looking to put a set of hardbags on my fatboy. I know cyclevisions makes some brackets but i was wondering if there are any other companies that make brackets that are "quick release". By that i mean they don't have the added supports under the bags and they only "bolt" to the fenders, similar to the new Dyna Switchback.

That way i could just pop off the bags and not have the brackets there.

any info and pics would help.

A great option for you would be the Easy Brackets. They mount by using a very discreet mount on your bike. Basically, you use the hardware supplied with the kit to extend the bolts on your fender strut. Then, the easy bracket bracket itself mounts to the back of the saddlebags. Then you just slip them onto the fender bolt mounts and lock them in place. You can put them on or take them off in seconds.

We carry them on our website: www.deadcreekcycles.com and have excellent sale pricing on them right now. Plus, we have a 10% off coupon code (in my signature). Here are a couple links to them with pictures and descriptions. The bracket you need depends on how you have your Fatboy set up, with or without a backrest and whether it is hardmount or detachable. Here are the links to each. If you have any questions about which will fit your bike, just let me know. Best of luck. Hope this helps.

Are you talking about the ABS type bags like a street glide? If so, I was wanting the same set up too. But after reading on here, a lot of people said the hardbags will crack over time without the extra bracing. So I wnet ahead and bought some cyclevisions brackets. The hard bags are too expensive for me to take a chance on cracking them.

That's what I am worried about. I think once they go one they will be on for good. Any place to get the cycle vision brackets for under the $300 asking price. Lookin at the black ones.

I got the Calvary supports on eBay for under $200. I mounted RK bags & haven't had any problems. Post pics of your bike with the bags when they're mounted. Good luck.

Watch the classifieds on here and you might get lucky. I got my cyclevisions brackets in unused condition and a used set of RK classic leather covered bags for around $400. Only thing I needed was to get the 200mm tire cross piece from cyclevisions, as the one I got off here was for the 150.

they sell them on ebay for around 200 best offer i have them on my standard comes with every thing needed the only down fall to them is they dont have a brace to connect them at the bottom in the back so you get a little shake have ha dmine on 2 seasons now no issues
try this link
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Touring-Hard...62c83e&vxp=mtr

cyclevisions makes some fillers stips that fill in the space between the bags and fender ,not a must have but really do clean up the look
