I just got a new windshield and don't know what to clean it with. My last one was already scratched so I wasn't too particular with it. I don't wanna scratch this one up though. It is an acrylic one...not sure if thats the same as lexan or not. It is a MAIER replacement and they didn't send any cleaning instructions or answer e-mails. Not getting too many recommendations from me for their customer service. Any help is appreciated her.
Yes, Plexus is what to use. I use it on the windshield of our bikes, and on the plastic window of my convertible. DO NOT use paper towels to wipe off the Plexus. Paper towels will scratch the windshield!!!!

What you use isn't nearly as important as how you use.
If you use a good cleaner (like Plexus), spray it on and start wiping, you'll create a lot of scratches. The small amount of dirt and grime trapped under the paper towel will act like sandpaper. Wipe once, and turn the towel over. If possible, spray on a cleaner, let sit, and hose off.
Some detailers believe that a microfiber towel will trap dirt and grime, and create the sandpaper effect. Newspaper works really well.
Everything I have ever been told about cleaning plastic windscreens or windshields has been consistent in warning NEVER to use paper towels on plastic. They will scratch!! Paper is made from glass. 'nuff said!!
