ECM programing
Do you have to program a new Ecm before it will start the bike?
plan on buying a new one. but don't have the the mapping equipment
for it. may i say that it also has a alarm. 2004 ultra classic w/carb

is it new or used? if new it should have been ordered specifically for your bike and should be programmed already as stock so any additions you've done such as high flow and exhaust will require it to at least have a stage 1 map downloaded to it.
if used, only way to tell what's on it is to be able to get to the map that's installed on it.
