Default RE: windshield problem

I have had the same problem on my 2005 Road King Classic. Last fall, I noticed a hairline crack starting to spread from one of the windshield mounting bracket bolts. A few rides later, another one appeared coming from the same bolt. Now, a third has appeared over the past couple of weeks. I checked with an area dealer service dept. back last fall, and all they said was that I could drill a tiny hole at the end of the hairline crack and it wouldprobably stop spreading - it actually worked, but there was no offer to replace the shield.
