Xied
I have a 2007 Ultra Classic that has always run hot. There is a vendor selling XIED's. Do they cool the bike down and give you better throttle response? What kind of gas mileage would I expect to lose?
There are many posts on this. I did it on my 2007 softail (same motor) and it worked great. Essentially it tricks your computer into thinking it is running a liitle lean and adds more fuel. No real difference for mileage (that I noticed). Very nice response on the low to medium end. Will not matter on the very high end of the RPM's because you need more air and also the XIED's only work in the closed loop (low to medium RPM's).
I was very impressed. You might look for a fuel pak as another option. They are a little bit more and you can put them with a V&H high performance air cleaner from amazon and really make that ultra nice. I did that on my 2013 Ultra.
