Default Kuryakyn Lizard lights

I purchased the starter set of these Kuryakyn Lizard lights and installed them on my 05 Softail Deluxe. They dont seem to be as bright as most peoples pictures on here. I have 2 lights under the gas tank facing the chrome cylinder heads, one in the front of the motor facing the chrome cylinder head, and one under the oil tank facing the chrome tranmission top cover. They seem to be really dim to me. Any ideas or stuff to check on them. I will be removing the tank in a few weeks to wire up a GPS and might redo the lights at that time.

Eric

Dont care too much for the pods. Some of the other name brands have longer strips that can be cut to length. Longer light strips equal more lights.

Default lights

The one I got was the longer (6 inch strips of lights). Off the bike they look pretty good but on the biek a little dim. I might just take them off and start over again. If I get the extension kit I can add more lights near the top of the motor....

Seen these guys at a show doing installs on site, their lights are really bright and simple to install. A little on the high side when it comes to price but they have a lifetime warranty.

I am thinking these carnival lights will help you be seen during the day -- maybe not the high noon scenario, but on a flat, overcast day as you're driving through an intersection the motorist will wait to let you pass before pulling out. Especially if they flash, rather than remain constant, as Kuryakyn's Lizard Lights seem to do. Looks like you can vary the flash rate, choose one of 7 colors or have it cycle through the colors. I'm more worried about being seen during the day than at night, esp. since I have reflective clothing. Thoughts?s
