I have a 2003 Electra glide with stage 1 screaming eagle every thing else is stock 1450 twin cam
I have owned this bike for 3 years now. The bike ran great until the end of last year when it started to over heat oil temp got up to 280 the bike never got higher then 230 240 max
Bike was put on dyno and bike is not running lean
Bike starts first time but feels like there is a loss of power
Does anyone have any ideas
Thanks
Sumping maybe?
When you say the oil got to 280 but the bike never went over 230-240 are you talking at the same time? Are you sure whatever you are using to get your temps is accurate?
Yes I've checked my temp gauge with two other gauges and all read the same temp
Last year my bike ran at 230 to 240 all year and then at the end of riding season and the start of this season the bike runs at 280 and the gauge read 290 the last time I went for a ride and bike feels like it has lost power
How many miles on it? Does it still have the original cam chain tensioners? I'd open up the cam chest and have a look. If the tensioners are good and not in little pieces the oil pump could be causing the crankcase to sump.
