Cool security system problem

Hi folks, I have an 07 streetglide with a recently installed kuryakyn panacea rear lighting system. Everthing worked fine until recently when I tried to start my bike my bike lit up like a xmas tree as if the security system couldn't recognize my fob. Knowing that my lighting system could go into overload(read the warning) I ran and grabbed my spare. They stopped flashing but not before it started to smoke. I've disconnected the rear lighting and retried with new batteries in both my fobs but it still goes into alarm mode. I can defeat the security by using the code but it doesn't solve the problem the next time I try to start the bike. Any suggestions appreciated. Remember to keep the sunny side up

Wondering why a lighting system would overload with blinking security lights?

Those same lights are on all the time while riding are they not?

No help I know, just curious about your overload issue, and whether or not the lighting system is actually the root of the issue?

Hi. This security module located behind the battery is connected normally to the rear lighting including the tail lite, and signal lite harness. the kuryakyn system hooks in and includes a contreoller card which controls the LED lites with a load equalizer. I think that's what started to burn up. I have disconnected the lighting so I can eliminate this as a possible cause or contributer to the problem. Talked to a buddy at the dealer who says its $250 for the controller module and that it needs to be mapped. So much for the DIY plan. I work with DDC direct digital control but can't do this. damn.

just realized that I didn't answer your question. The lighting manual warned not to leave the 4-ways on too long as it will cause an overload. Hence the smoke. But. I think it is simply the security module.
