I was routing a cable (for Power Vision Tuner) behind the left side cover and I decided to loosen the plastic support upon which the various connectors and fuse box are mounted to. While doing so I noticed my turn signals began flashing as if I had activated the alarm system. I decided to pull the 50 Amp main fuse while I finished my cable routing.
After restoring the fuse and turning the ignition switch to ON I was prompted to ENTER my PIN. After doing so all the systems fired up normalyl. However, now every time I turn the ignition switch to ON I am again prompted for the PIN, as if the system is not seeing my FOBs which are in the tourpak.
Any thoughts? I've checked all my connections tight and don't know what else to do, short of a visit to the dealer.
Rest of story... So, I buttoned everything up this afternoon and took the bike for a very short (too cold!) ride and after parking the bike the security system is once again fully operational.
