Default Running without slip ons

I have a 2013 street bob, and i was thinking of removing the stock slip ons and running it just like that. I am not worried about performance but i like a loud bike. Would there be any damage cause by running it without any slip on and just the straigh pipes?

Gonna sound like **** and it'll be ear deafening.

My suggestion, is to get Cycle Shack slip ons for $140 and $17 in harley muffler clamps and do it right. It'll sound good and be plenty loud.

Amazon is your friend.

Any damage being done is from your neighbors throwing rocks at you, firing off a couple rounds of 30/06 ammo and the overall bad image you present as a rider.

There is legislation afoot all over the country to crack down on obnoxiously loud pipes and if you go with this, you're certainly not helping our overall outlook by non bikers, not to mention the stink you're making with fellow riders who have to endure the onslaught of rules, regulations, EPA and other agencies due to some who have zero common sense and run straight pipes on the public roadways.

I would suggest you grab a little bit of consideration for your neighbors and to all us other riders who are in the bullseye of legislators just looking to make point and satisfy their constituents complaints.

If you persist, one day a neighbor or a pedestrian or other driver you just blasted past will make a complaint against you and that is all it takes for rules to come out against those pipes.

Race track ok......the public roadways no.

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. If you decide to do that you'll be deaf in no time! As well as making yourself public enemy #1 locally. By all means try it for a few minutes, just to see what the effect is, but then put your mufflers back on, there's a good chap!

Happy holidays to you, your family and neighbours.
