Default Lowering a 2001 Road King Classic

I would like to lower my 2001 Road King Classic about an inch or two ... Because I am 5'7" tall and currently my heals do not touch the ground ... What is the best way to lower this bike without causing any clearance problems and without costing a ton of money? A picture of the bike is shown below .... Thanks

Have you considered a new seat or seat mod? I had my stock seat converted by Mean City Cycles on a '13 RK. I am 5'8" and now have much better ground contact, probably lowered me 1-2" without even concerning myself with losing shock travel or performance issues. They replace the stock foam with more dense memory foam so the change in seat height doesnt degrade comfort.
