Good morning everyone,this is my first post.S&S 106 551 cams 89cc heads this is the build. The bike tuned out ok for break in.Stayed under 4500 rpms rode bike about 300 miles back in for oil change a look over, all is well. I'm keeping the bike under 4500 rpm for the first 1000 miles,then at 1250 it's back for final Dyno that's when the ping starts . Any twist of the gas ping ping any rpm range. So after a week I told the bike to another Indy same thing can't tune it out. Any help

I think the 551 cam has an intake close of 19, and in a 106 build with 89cc chamber you would need some dished pistons to keep compression in check. Assuming you're running flat tops or close, the ccp will be waaaay too high and a ping machine. Does it start easy? These are auto comp release cams I assume? What piston you running?....regardless, that cam shouldn't be in a 106 motor.

Flat top starts great
This is a direct set up from s&s 106/551cams 89 heads tq 114 hp 94
I'm getting 108tq 88 hp plus the Ping

No more ping had a broke head bolt changed cams to 570ez
Tons of power just way late 100tq 3300 rpm
