Hey all-- riding last evening w buddies, we were turning into a bar for a stop. As I was downshifting, I noticed that my throttle grip wasn't gripping!! Just kept revolving. So once I stopped, I pulled, and the whole grip came off. Hmmm. So I had to ride home w/o the grip. Glad I had my gloves btw. A friend told me to glue it back on. After I got home I had no glue! Soo--what type of glue do I use for this? Super glue? Thanks
on my dirt bikes and golf clubs, i would use double-sided masking tape and squirt the inside of the grip with lighter fluid, swish in the grip, pour onto the tape, and quickly push on. then let it set for a few hours to set up. This has worked for me since the 1970's.
just noticed this was for throttle grip..... not sure what you have as i have never glued throttle on....the grip was usually attached to a sleeve with the hooks for the cables. but if the sleeve and grip seperated, I would still do the same with tape and lighter fluid.
