Just replaced my stock grips with a pair of Kuryakyn premium ISO-Grips with the throttle boss. Now that I have them both replaced I am having problems with getting the snap back on the throttle to go back properly.
It will go back fairly quickly with the wheel turned to the left but turned to the right its really slow and have to manually do it to get it back in some fashion of quickness.
I have been playing with the adjustment nuts on the cables under the housing but just cant seem to get this to get snap back like before the grip change when the throttle is released.
I'm a novice at working on the bike but like to do as much as I can by myself (that and the $120 an hour the dealership wants is crazy). So any tips and tricks would be appreciated. I did a serch on this and found a few kinda related topics but nothing that helps a whole lot.
I had the same problem until I realized that the throttle grip was rubbing the end of the handlebar. Once I loosened the screws and moved the grip out about 1/16" the grip snapped back perfectly. Oh yeah, I also applied some graphite lubricant onto the bar. Been working great for 2 years now.
