Cranking Engine off of Chassis

I accidentally ran into a nearly free 08 883 efi from a guy who totaled his bike out earlier this summer. Well I'm considering ordering parts to build a custom bobber from a mixture between suckerpunch sally and american classic but I'm not 100% sure the state of the motor and don't want to get in too deep if the motor was on its side running a while or anything.. I've never had one running off of a chassis but I assume it will try to bounce around and I don't want to crack the lower or anything.....

Regardless, I need some ideas of how to mount this guy to something pretty stable to get it running - without forking out 500 bucks for a engine cradle to use once.

Any & all ideas are appreciated..
