Default roadking handlebars?

I got a 99 roadking and want to put buckhorn bars on it but they only come in 1inch size I measured my stock bars and there 1.25 inch can I get a riser to adapt these 1 inchers to my roadking or open to other suggestons but I really like the feel of the buckhorn handlebars.

You either need to remeasure your bars or you don't have stock bars. Stock bars are 1". At any rate, 1 1/4 bars are necked down at the riser clamp and will fit in the stock risers. Pull the clamp cover and have a look for yourself.

Hello Folks, Have seen a number of strings re changing RKC handlebars...consensus has it that the stock bars are uncomfortable...add my vote to that tally. I'm curious if anyone has experience with wild one 508's v 518s v 517s. I like the pull back on the 508s but a bit concerned about the "wheel barrel" feel that I've read in some strings...any road experience behind any of these bars v the stock "bars of pain" would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
BSB

I'm 6'2" and 220#, My ride is a 2007 Road King Classic and in order to make it comfortable, I lowered it 1", changed to Wild1 518s and changed to a Mustang seat. The difference is amazing! The main thing with the bars is no more shoulder pain from being hunched over with the stock bars.
