Default any good riding in Indiana

Good possibility family and I will be relocating to indy, coming from the northeast which has plenty of winding twisties. Looking at maps and everything looks straight. Been through there a couple time on I70 and I tell ya it kinda looks FLAT. Any hints on riding out here. I know about boogie, and the bean thing, just wondering about biker friendly stuff....... I'm a usual 2-400 mile a day rider.....when I can get away from the kids..lol

There's some pretty decent, scenic roads south of I70, but the north half of the state is pretty flat.

There are some great roads to ride in the southern half of Indiana.

My wife and I often ride down that way. There are some day rides and some overnight rides you can do. Here are some of my favorite roads.

67 south to Spencer, take 43 south to 54 to Bedford, take 450 to Shoals, then 150 to French Lick and West Baden Springs.

37 south to Bedford, east on 58. Good little country places to eat lunch in Norman and Kurtz on 58. Take 58 to 135 and head north on 135. Stop at Story (biker friendly place in basement for beer or lunch). 135 to Nashville, IN, great place for country shops (tourist area). Take 135 to Morgantown and return to Indy on 252.

Take some of the above roads and continue to Leavenworth (The Dock or Overlook Restaurants). Down that way, 62 and 66 along the river are nice bike roads (between Tell City and Corydon). Corydon has a nice Bed and Breakfast downtown.

Head down to Madison, IN and ride along the Ohio River towards Vevay, Rising Sun, and Lawrenceburg. Cross the river and ride back down the Kentucky side of the Ohio River and stop at Rabbit Hash. Continue and cross back over to Indiana at Madison.

I'll mention some more later, it is time to watch the Colts now.

Madison, Bedford, Nashville IN and anything south or Brown Co is great riding. You have got to take 135 north fro 58 to Story and around the edge of Brown Co. State Park, it is the best ride in Indiana IMO. Bryan

Colts game is over, so back to rides in southern Indiana.

Here is a good link to help you with some rides.

Winnie's Favorite Ride is a good one.

Here's another link for some rides starting out in Bloomington.

45 from Bean Blossom to Bloomington is nice and twisty.

446 from Bloomington is a nice way to get down to 58 also.

I already mentioned 43 and 450 (very twisty roads).

Let me know if you have any questions.
