For the tours, they have a daily schedule, and its basically first come (per tour) first in. They only take so many per tour, like 15 or so, so it would be the first 15. The tours take an hour and finish up in their store where you can buy items not available anywhere else. If you are #16 waiting you have to wait until the next tour. I believe they have several tours every day, but am not sure how many or when they begin each day, or even if they do them everyday.

Maps in hand, route laid out, most of the stops planned, just waiting on the day. Getting stoked. I still have room for a couple of stops. Any more suggestions? Going to make a swing to the east along Erie to see 4 of the 5 Lakes.
If you are doing the M22 route, stop by the dunes on the way to Glen Arbor. Once in Glen Arbor, stop and eat at Art's tavern. Small place, great atmosphere and food. Going up this week, but I am only about 3 hours away.

Do you want to see Lake Erie in Michigan? None of the roads really get close enough for a look. Trust me, I've seen mile of cornfields between Detroit and Ohio, (by the way, that's the way I roll) but you might need to get off the bike to see more than a passing sliver of Lake Erie.

No, we'll take an easterly swing once we get back into Ohio. Maybe along Rt. 2 till we get to Sandusky then a southerly route.
I cross the bridge a lot, count on there being construction and count on riding on the metal grate. Not a big deal, just relax and go slow and let the bike move around as it follows the the metal grate...you won't go down.
