Friend and myself are hitting hogrock for the first time this june. Was wondering is people had some opinions and info, is it the killer time they say it is? My buddy says its nothing but naked people and fun times. But another friend said alot of theft goes down and its mostly drunk idiots? Opinions and info if you been there PLEASE! Also does and dont's, help a rookie out yall!!
I have been there once, and some of my friends have been multiple times. I will say that there are a bunch of topless women wandering around most of the time. Sometimes there is going to be more skin that you want to see, but that is part of the experience.
I have heard that there have been some thefts there, but there are thefts at boy scout meetings these days, so that shouldn't be a factor. If you are not an easy target you should be okay.
In general, it will be a drunken good time. Make sure that you bring sunscreen and use it. The nearest that you can get adult beverages is Elizabethtown, which is a short ride away. If that doesn't sound like what you want, then you can buy beers on-site for $3.ish/each. There are plenty of food vendors and if you are a people person, you will more than likely meet some real fun people.
There is a mechanical bull, at least 2 stages of entertainment, a swimming pond with raft, oil wrestling, the wall of death, tattoo tent, all gravel roads throughout, 3-5 dancing cages, etc.
I MAY go this year, but it is Father's Day weekend, and there are a couple other things that I really should do instead of going on the road for a few days.
Bring beads...lots of beads...you can buy those there also, but you will go through a bunch if you play it right.
Thanks for the info, just trying to get a feel for if the stories ive been told are true. One guy said he slept with 7 girls down there at the rally LOL Heard another talking about high theft but its hard to believe what ppl say. And like you said theft is everywhere these days.
