I'm going to HELL

Last time I was in Hell, MI was about 1997. Had an Icecream cone at the general store. Thinking of going through Hell again this summer, any new attractions?

The Damn Site Inn still has a great burger ... The Ice Cream Shop is still there... There's also a souvenir store that has some biker garb. BTW the Mayor of Hell Michigan is John Colone. It's been cold here lately though so dress appropriately.

You asked so I thought I'd provide the "Oh wow" of the day ... There are two theories for the origin of Hell's name. The first is that a pair of German travelers stepped out of a stagecoach one sunny afternoon in the 1830's, and one said to the other, "So schön hell!" (translated as, "So beautifully bright!") Their comments were overheard by some locals and the name stuck. Soon after Michigan gained statehood, George Reeves was asked what he thought the town he helped settle should be called and replied, "I don't care, you can name it Hell for all I care."
