it was great but a few problems. my licences plate bracket broke off and as i was walking up and down 16 mile rode a guy named whitey stoped to see if i needed help and the cop behind him slamed on his brakes almost causing an wreck. then the cop got out of his car screaming at whitey about how he almost cause a wreck. and then the cop rosted the tires in the gravel throughing rocks at us. talk about a power trip. thank god the weather is finaly getting warmer.
Too much salt still on the roads here in Oakland County to ride, but sometime this next week, just maybe after we get some rain to wash the roads. So, where were you so I avoid that cop? Glad to know you're okay.
i was at 16 and harper area. don't blame you about the salt. my sporty was dirty when i got home. but thats why i got it so when i spend big money on a new bike i will have the sporty to ride around town and when the salt isn't all gone
Sorry to hear about your mishap with the Sterling Heights police. I had a few run ins with those MORONS that think their **** don't stink. Be lucky you didn't run into officer D-----. (can't use his full name for fear of retalliation). Officer D-----, who patrols the 18 mile and Van Dyke area, will pull you over if you areRUNNING drag pipes, if it LOOKS like a drag pipe, or if it IS a drag pipe and will issue you a ticket. I guess that's how he got the name of MR. ******* Extrodinare.
i probably ran into that cop. i pick up trash for Sterling Heights and i had a cop come up to me one day and tell me if i didn't keep the cans off the drive way or the curb he would give me a ticket. needless to say i got a little lippy and he didn't like it but he could prove any thing because we were helping and there were two other trucks throwing cans so he ended up just leaveing. like i said be for power trip.
enjoy while you can, they're calling for more snow next week. hopefully next weekend I can get my handlebars changed so I can then get the tank back on. during this week I'm going to finish cleaning all the chrome up so its ready.
I rode today also and it was great. I put about 50 miles or so. Istopped by Biker Bobs in taylor and went by a few friends houses. The roads in my area arent too bad as far as salt goes. didnt see too many salt piles. gonna ride tomorrow if the weather is the same.
The weather is better but, I wouldn't count winter out just yet. It's funny to hear that you had a piece fall off your bike. I just got through fabricating a highway peg set up for my sportster. I thought that all was fine so I thought that I would just take her for a spin in the neighborhood. I got about 2 blocks and one of my welds came loose and a section of it fell off. Had to turn around and find it, which I did. Back to the drawing board, I guess. ...........bvette94. There's a pizzeria in Gibralter called Pizza Bobs. I wonder if Biker Bob is selling and delivering pizzas on the side. Just kidding. They're my dealership and I don't live too far from there. I like to go in a check all the goodies out from time to time. It's helped me get through the winter a little easier.
IF there was an accident it would've been Porky's fault for not being in control of his vehicle. Have to agree about the salt. Ecorse road in Taylor had some huge salt pillars.
Yes Rode today . It felt so good. We got enough rain that the roads are clear. Rode about 50miles. Lots of people still ice fishing over our way. But the bike ran great, think she was as glad to out of the garage and on the road as I was.Got cold in a hurry when the sun went behind the clouds. I am ready to go for the day and get comfortable with her again. Thank God spring is on the way.
